We know it’s only February, but if you have anyone over the age of 12 in your family, you’re probably already making summer plans. We wanted to share three very special programs Independent Means is offering young people this summer:
Fashion & Finance
This is the fifth year of this dazzling, exclusive, dual-generation “backstage” tour of the New York fashion industry. We explore careers, economics, philanthropy, and personal finance—and still have time for shopping in the City. Because we have access to unique studios, designers, and activities, we keep the numbers for this program low.
June 23-25, New York, NY

Camp Start-Up
Over the course of 10-days at Camp Start-Up, teens (14-18) acquire the skills to start something great. Whether their interest is in the arts, business, or philanthropy, nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit is critical for 21st century. At Camp Start-Up, they will meet amazing mentors and look inside great companies and cool new social ventures. Teenagers form mock startups, write business plans, build portfolios, and use an exclusive simulated trading floor. And, of course, there is plenty of time for tennis, swimming, and just hanging out!
July 29-August 7, Wilbraham & Monson Academy, Wilbraham, MA
Find out more or register for the program on our website or check out us out on Facebook, where alumni continue their experience and share photos.
