Camp Staff

At Camp $tart-Up, we maintain a one-to-six counselor-to-participant ratio. Each session also has an experienced director and assistant director. Staff reside in the dorms with the participants and are on call 24 hours a day. Campers work in teams to develop a business plan and investment portfolio. Each team is assigned a counselor who coaches the team from the development of their plan and portfolio through their final presentations.

• About the camp staff
  Camp $tart-Up staff are mature adults with experience in varied work environments, academic training in business and finance, and expertise in working with young people. Past counselors have included graduates from top MBA programs, entrepreneurs, and teachers.
  
  All staff participate in an intensive pre-camp orientation and training to acquaint them with IMI’s mission, philosophy, and approach to financial education. IMI staff provide a thorough introduction to the Camp curriculum, policies, and materials.
